Shiba’s Mung Dal
Recipe: Wash Dal thoroughly and soak for 2 hours in 4 cups of water. Place Dal, Shiba’s Turmeric (supplied) and salt in a sauce pan, bring in to boil over high heat. Turn heat to medium, cover and cook till the mung beans are soft and gets to the desired thickness, stirring occasionally. Brown Shiba’s Popping Seeds (supplied) in hot 2 Tbs. Shiba’s Ghee (Clarified Butter) in a separate small pan. Add & golden brown chopped ginger & garlic, 1 Tbs. each. Toss ½ cup cilantro on the pan; pour in Dal, stir well and serve hot.
